LUNCHEONS & TRAINING
HGPA hosts numerous comprehensive training & luncheon sessions throughout the year. These sessions cover a wide range of topics intended to benefit our members. Whether attendees are new to the industry, proficient in a particular area but needing development in the overall scope of the industry, or just needing a refresher course, attendees will obtain valuable industry-specific information/skills from a variety of speakers, all of which are experts in their field.
SPORTING CLAYS
HGPA’s Annual Sporting Clay event is our most popular event of the year! Members and guests can take part in this 100-bird sporting clays course and help contribute to HGPA’s academic scholarship and community outreach programs. Participate in a shooting team proceeding through 10 shooting stations. At each station, team members will score a total of 10 possible targets. Following the competition, participants can eat, drink, socialize, and network while winning awards, door prizes, shotguns, and other great raffle prizes!
NATIONAL CONVENTION
The GPA Midstream Convention is “where midstream meets”. For more than nine decades, GPA Midstream has led the industry in research, technology, setting and adopting standards for natural gas and natural gas liquids, and more recently, working with legislators and regulators to represent the industry at state and federal levels.
Each year, the GPA Midstream Convention brings together about 2,000 professionals involved in natural gas gathering, compression, treating, processing, storage and marketing, and natural gas liquids fractionation, transportation, storage and marketing, all with the common interest of meeting about – and making a difference in – midstream matters.
SHRIMP/CRAWFISH BOIL
HGPA’s Shrimp/Crawfish events are a member favorite and a great way to network with other industry professionals! There’s nothing like spending an evening under the stars, dining on a mouthwatering cajun seafood spread catered by BB’s Cafe, while networking with HGPA members and friends! Event tickets include meal, raffle & 2 drink tickets and as an extra bonus, new sponsorship opportunities have been added to offer member companies a unique & fun way to get exposure for their company!
YP EVENTS
HGPA’s Young Professional (YP) events are held in Houston’s trendiest places, or should we say most Instagram worthy? These events are open to all young professionals, as well as, the young-at-heart professionals. This is a great opportunity to network and mingle with fellow YP’s in the midstream industry. These events range from Happy hours, facility tours, and even baseball games! We know you’ll have a great time with our YP’s so keep an eye out and join us for our next outing!
REGIONAL CONFERENCE
HGPA’s Regional Meetings benefit all who attended, with a variety of speakers, topics, and networking opportunities. Members benefit from a discounted entry fee and for guests, the cost of an event ticket includes an annual membership! You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity to be surrounded by industry professionals and experts from all around the region.
MIXER & SOCIAL EVENTS
HGPA social events bring together individual and corporate members to mix, mingle, and network with present and future members. Our social outings are stress-free events that allow our members to kick back and relax after a long day at work while networking with other industry peers. So keep an eye on the event calendar and make sure to take time throughout the year to enjoy an evening out, appetizers, drinks, raffle prizes, games, and more!
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
HGPA cares about its community and strives to show that appreciation by giving back throughout the year. The HGPA Midstream Community Outreach Committee hopes to participate in 10+ charity events in 2021. A combination of charity event ticket sales, sponsorship proceeds, and community service hours will be donated to a variety of local charities and programs by year’s end. Each community outreach event gives members a chance to contribute, work together, meet & mingle with friends and peers from the local Oil & Gas industry while giving back to our city in some small way.
GOLF
HGPA tops off the year in early December with its Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Did someone say “Save the best for last”? This event is the last event across all GPA chapters and sends our chapter out with a bang. With all the perks included: socializing, light competition, awards, prizes, food, drinks, and a variety of opportunities to make valuable connections for the coming year, you won’t want and to miss it!
