AGENDA

This half-day session surveys current trends in natural gas production and delivery and examines the economic and technical basis for profitable gas processing and conditioning. This interactive training, the first of four break-out sessions from “Overview of Gas Processing” includes:

  • Natural Gas Sources – Conventional, Shale and Tight Gas, etc.
  • Gas Characteristics – Lean, Rich, Associated, etc. 
  • Gas Contaminants – Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen, etc. 
  • Gas Specifications – Gathering System, Plant and Pipeline 
  • Gas Behavior – Process selection and operating conditions 
  • Plant Economics – Project planning and decision drivers

As a course wrap-up, a broad survey of the gas processing technologies currently in use will be covered as an introduction to the subsequent extended training sessions.

ABOUT RALPH NEUMANN

Ralph spent the early part of his career working for several firms in the engineering construction business, both internationally and domestically.  He began as a process engineer specializing in natural gas processing and progressed to engineering management and project engineering roles. The next part of his career was spent working for natural gas processing operating companies where he managed both engineering and operations groups.  Most recently, Ralph has held engineering roles with several private equity-backed startup companies. He served as an instructor for John M. Campbell/PetroSkills, and he now consults in a practice that provides training, project management, and engineering services to the midstream industry.
