Houston GPA Midstream is hosting a Turboexpanders: Basic Design, Operation and Troubleshooting training. This training takes place Wednesday, February 24th from 9:30-11:30 AM CST.
Our featured speakers are Tadeh Avetian, Director of Engineering, L.A. Turbine (LAT), and Troy O’Steen, Director of Sales, L.A. Turbine (LAT). We look forward to hearing from both valuable professionals and their personal takeaways. Their backgrounds and expertise will provide a unique approach to educating HGPA members on the fundamentals of turboexpander design.

Topic: Turboexpanders: Basic Design, Operation and Troubleshooting
Overview: Turboexpanders are known as the heart of a gas plant and perform a key role in gas processing and production output. Whether you represent an EPC, are a plant owner/operator, or have responsibilities for the maintenance and operation of rotating equipment, you will benefit from this discussion on the fundamentals of turboexpander design. Topics include turboexpander function and applications, core component identification, principles of operation, advantages of oil and bearing systems, as well as a discussion on turboexpander maintenance and troubleshooting. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions throughout the presentation.
