Sign up today as this overview class typically sells out! This half-day session provides an overview of the gas processing industry and is an excellent course for those new to our industry or those that are proficient in a particular area but are lacking in the overall scope of the industry or those who want a great refresher course.

Quick Notes to avoid any confusion:

1) Registration for training automatically gets you registered for the luncheon.  No need to register or purchase a separate ticket.

2) Membership gives you future discounts on other events.  This membership expires June 30, 2019.

Separations, Refrigeration and Moderate Recovery Gas Plant Designs

Modern gas processing is firmly rooted in the concepts of natural gas phase behavior and (equilibrium) stage separations.  This second extended module of the "Overview of Gas Processing" explores theapplication of these concepts in a manner that even non-engineers can appreciate and gain an understanding of why particular processing plant is selected for an application.  The majority of the training class will cover the applications of the following processing concepts and designs:

  • Refrigeration - The heart of virtually all modern gas plant designs.
  • Mechanical Refrigeration Units (MRU) - Plants that apply basic refrigeration principals to processing the gas to meet sales quality specifications (Dew Point Control).
  • Refrigerated JT Expansion - Moderate recovery gas plant designs utilized when high percentage of NGL recovery (especially Ethane) is not required or is not economical.

This training session will also lay the foundation for the third extended module of the "Overview of Gas Processing" where Expander (Cryo) plants, Condensate Stabilizers and NGL Fractionation is covered in March, 2018.
